PRK

The precursor of the LASIK, PRK is usually employee in patients that are not good candidates for the ocular surgery LASIK. THE PRK is an employee to treat low degrees of myopia and astigmatism. During the procedure the laser is applied directly to the surface of the eye, as opposed to the LASIK where a corneal flap is created before the laser of new form to the cornea. There are some considerations to to be taken into account before being submitted to an ocular surgery PRK: Due to that the laser cuts and sepatra the upper layer of the eye, asi like tambien the underlying corneal weaving, the recovery takes more time and is generally more uncomfortable than in the ocular surgery LASIK. The improvement of the vision is not noted generally but until after one or two weeks. The surgery ocular PRK presents risks. These should be discussed in detail with an ocular surgeon before deciding to be submitted to a the surgery.
