Being prepared for the Surgery PRK

There are various processes that should be carried out before the surgery be practiced PRK in its eyes. Its doctor will carry out an exámen ocular complete and he ask the history of its eyes to be assured that its prescription has been maintained stable by at least a year. During this exam, the doctor will determine if you are a good candidate for the PRK. The exámen should include:

Exámen of enlargement to verify ocular irregularities

Measure of the refractive error Measure in thickness of the cornea and the pupil Topographical map of the cornea Analysis of the tear function Discussion on its medical history, way of life and expectations

If you use soft contact lenses, should not use them for at least a week before the exámen ocular and if uses hard contact lenses or gaspermeables, to should stop using them for at least two or three weeks before the exámen ocular. This will assure that its refractive error be measured adequate.
